Asta-Omega™
The American Heart Association recommends that healthy adults “eat a minimum of two servings of fish a week...”
...especially mackerel, sardines, salmon, albacore tuna, lake trout and herring. Fish oils which are rich in Omega-3’s have been reported to help:
• Support healthy triglyceride levels1
• Reduce the risk of ischemic stroke in men2
• Reduce inflammation of joints3
• Maintain immune response4
More Omega-3s than Fish
Rejuvenetics’ Asta-Omega™ makes it easy to be sure you are getting enough Omega-3s by providing 67% more Omega-3s than ordinary fish oils.
In addition, Asta-Omega’s concentration of these beneficial fats is actually greater than found in fish! This concentration is vitally important to your health, since it has been recently reported that most Americans do not take in enough Omega-3s to balance out their intake of Omega-6s. Omega-6s are found in commercial salad dressings and snack foods such as potato chips. Having higher levels of Omega-6 than Omega-3 can significantly impede the health benefits afforded by Omega-3s.
Purest, Highest Quality Source
Rejuvenetics™ chooses a variety of deep sea fish rich in Omega 3, including Sardine, Anchovy and Mackerel from the pristine waters of the North Sea.
Unlike ordinary fish oils sold today, Asta-Omega™ is enriched with Vitamin E, a natural antioxidant to help prevent the delicate oils from being oxidized. Plus, the all-natural vegetable-based capsule coating protects the oils from light damage.
Heart, Vision, & Brain Health
Medical journals report Vitamin E, which is also contained in Asta-Omega, may help support brain health.5 It also reduces free radical damage, protects cell membranes in the brain, heart, and immune system. And, a new study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association reported that
“eating fish rich in Omega-3 fatty acids and taking antioxidant supplements may help prevent the progression of age-related macular degeneration (AMD), the leading cause of blindness in older individuals.”6
Easy to Take
One capsule of Asta-Omega™ daily provides 1000 mg of Omega-3s for improved health and wellness. Asta-Omega is a good way to help round out your requirement of Omega-3s.
Why do we call fish “Brain Food”?
Inflammation is the result of excess production of free radicals in the body. When inflammation occurs in the brain, it can lead to Alzheimer’s disease. Omega-3s help to protect against inflammation. Researchers found that people who eat fish at least once a week over a period of several years had a 60% lower risk for Alzheimer’s disease than those who never or rarely ate fish.
Studies Report Fish Benefits the Brain
One study showed that when mice stricken with Alzheimer’s were fed a diet rich in Omega-3s, they had 70% less buildup of amyloid plaques in the brain compared to a group fed a diet low in Omega-3s. The amyloid plaques in the brain (inflammation) are believed to be responsible for Alzheimer’s disease in animals and humans. Another study showed that Omega-3s protected against damage to the areas where brain cells communicate and enabled mice to perform better on memory tests.
Diet
The traditional Japanese diet is rich in Omega-3 fatty acids, such as eicosapentaenoic acid (EPAs) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHAs), which are found in fish oil. In comparison, North American and European diets, tend to be high in Omega-6 fatty acids, found in corn and safflower oil. Japanese women have a very low risk of breast cancer, but that risk increases when they move to the U.S. or other countries with similar dietary histories.
People who are on a weight reduction diet may severely decrease their intake of dietary fat. This may result in a deficiency of essential fatty acids (EFA’s) which can cause skin changes. Additionally, these EFA’s are required for optimal tissue function. These EFA’s also form other substances called eicosanoids, which affect clotting and inflammation, and are thus related to coronary heart disease, and other like conditions. Dieters can reduce their likelihood of having an EFA deficiency by taking Asta-Omega™. Asta-Omega will help individuals ensure that they have healthy levels of Omega-3 fatty acids in their diet.
Fish Can Keep You in A Better Mood
Studies have shown that DHA (an essential fatty acid in fish oil) is involved in dopamine and serotonin metabolism. Serotonin is a “brain chemical” that controls mood and appetite. Low levels of serotonin often result in various degrees of depression.
